Brian D. Jellison
Cancer Institute
Sarasota Memorial now offers comprehensive cancer care to our community so you don’t have to choose between the best cancer care and the life you love.
The Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute was created so that no one would have to leave home to receive the best cancer care. That is why the state-of-the-art Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute has quickly become a beacon of hope for cancer patients and their families throughout our region.
The Oncology Tower, along with the Radiation Oncology Center that opened in 2020, is part of Sarasota Memorial’s expanding cancer-care center of excellence. The third phase of the expansion is underway with the design and building of the outpatient Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion on the SMH-Sarasota Campus.
The Jellison Cancer Institute’s continued expansion is due in large part to generous support from our donors.

Our multidisciplinary cancer teams provide true cancer care, not just cancer treatment, and this is what sets the Jellison Cancer Institute apart. You can help ensure the best patient experience possible and improve the quality of life for people during and after cancer treatment. Your gift can help fund nurse navigation, wellness programs, genetic counseling services, palliative care and more. With your support, our comprehensive cancer care will continue to meet or exceed the quality of care available at leading cancer centers throughout our nation.
Helping SMH bring the most advanced technology to our community has always been a priority for the Healthcare Foundation and its supporters. Your support will help the SMH team of oncologists perform next-generation, targeted radiation treatments, minimally invasive surgical procedures, and the latest treatments and immunotherapies. State-of-the-art facilities and the latest technology are why some of the top oncologists in the country have chosen to practice at the Jellison Cancer Institute.
Connecting patients to life-saving clinical trials is another way SMH puts patient care first and helps attract the best and brightest cancer specialists. Your gift can help our highly skilled physicians identify new treatment options or even help find ways to prevent and detect cancer. Clinical trials also help us improve the quality of life during and after treatment which is vitally important when fighting any cancer.
